Hello
my name is Roosevelt Bannerman, your
Community Involvement Program Director
for The Forest @ Columbia Technology Center. I am also the co-owner
of MsRevenda.com. My wife and I are very honored to have partnered with Green Forest
Community Development Corporation (GFCDC).
The
GFCDC is a private non-profit
faith-based community economic development corporation, governed by a
board of directors consisting of residents of the community, businesses
- such as MsRevenda.com, and civic leaders.
I am so excited about this
opportunity and I am looking forward to meeting you all.
It is
my goal to use the computer lab to teach basic computer
skills and provide assistance to everyone in our community. I have so
many great plans for the center. Now that we have a venue all I need are
the volunteers. Our opening date was
Saturday, July 7, 2007 during the
church's 1st Annual Summer Fest. There were activities, fun and food available
for all.
Currently, we are seeking leaders for two of our programs:
Grant Writing and
Special Events Lead. We are becoming stronger as we just turned one.

Our
2nd Annual Summer Fest held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 was
a celebration for one year of service to the community. We might still
be a baby, but we are growing fast and moving along. Remember to join
the fun. Click Here to read more about the
event.

The volunteers and staff members of YOUR computer lab are
looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you. So come by the
center and meet the team, review all the information on the website,
and come by and say HELLO. Together we can make this a great program and
a great community.
